Well...This thread is for discussing rules, how to's and whatever else that relates to my competition...

Judge wannabe's, just post that you wanna be a judge and your skinning background (if you have one)...If you don't, DONT WORRY! I'm employing a range of judges so I can get a good all round opinion to the entries so I can determine the winnar!

you are allowed to swap skys right? it didnt say so in the rules

Its up to scottie, but I think you should. Some skies are better for certain atmospheres.

I'll not be judging this time, but that doesn't mean I'm not in support of this contest. If I find time, maybe I'll enter. I know I say this every time, but I've been wanting to skin Burial Mounds for quite a time now.

Contest looks good. I hope there are a lot of good skins too.

Il judge if you need, ut it looks like youll have more then enough people. And it wont be like last time i was supposed to judge and got sent away for two months.

Ive done alot of skinning in the past and have always come up with original and new ideas. I know what i like and i know what flows well. I look for complete skins which are not only well thought out but well executed.

scotty, why dont you seperate the competition into two groups? One for people who have skinned before and one for the noobs? Taht way, more people will get into it

I will judge. You know my background well enough. I also plan on entering when I get the time.

Ive never skinned b4 in my life. But I also havnt released a mod in ages so i think I'll enter for sumthing to do

Can we add things like creatures to the map?

Yea like dead bodys too?

You are allowed to add anything that doesn't change gameplay unless otherwise stated...
E.g, dead bodies do not really change gamplay, rocks do not.;..Adding a wraith or a banshee does change gameplay...
Moving weapon spawns, changing weapons, run fast, "please baaaan me" do affect gameplay... Hence being dissallowed.

Adding creatures should be fine...I would like to know the context of it at some point though so I can see if it will or will not work...
But skinning should be about skinning, creatures, scenery and new skies should not be at the forefrount of the skin...The new bitmaps should..The other stuff adds to the skin but does not MAKE the skin...
