[SKIN] Team iMod Presents - The Freezer - [Pics]

Post by GreyAtom »

The Freezer v0.9
By Team iMod and GreyAtom

Hey everyone. This is my first mod, and my team's first mod, but I think it's really good and I spent quite some time on it.

The entire map is skinned, along with the major weapons. The reason this is only a skin is because I'm not a big fan of projectile swaps and new effects or anything. I just like to play the game normally.

All the weapons found on the map are skinned, which includes the SMG, Battle Rifle (No scope), Shotgun, Carbine, Magnum, and the Sniper Rifle. I didn't do the other ones, but I will in later versions.

I also added a ghost (Also skinned), just for the heck of it.

I've also have a video (thanks to Agent ME again), which I am currently placing the final touches on it and I will have it uploaded soon.

Time for the patch. Everytime I make a .ppf or .serenity patch they never work, but thankfully, .sppf patches do, so this is in .sppf format.

Also if someone could make this into a .ppf or .serenity, that would be awsome.

All righty, please post comments and suggestions! Remember this is my first mod so take it easy on me. ;)

This patch is for Elongation.

Ah, this is Super PPF. It makes ppfs smaller and if serenity and/or ppf apps can not male a patch, Super PPF can. Oh, I almost forgot, nice skin.

not really that many changes and pretty easy to do, but it looks very nice, those colors mix well.

8/10 (because its pretty)

nice to see new modding groups doing well.

Well... thanks for that I guess. Anyway r0tten, I was just planning on making this a basic map. I didn't wan't to go overboard with the skinning, but still have something simple, yet look great. I know it's not the most advanced skin out there (*Stares at ScottyGEE and greenmc), but it's a start.

I'm also working on the active scenery and weapon mods now. Expect an update in the next week or so.

Whoops. Sorry for the typo. I know how to spell it, my finger just hit the stupid N key. Thanks for pointing that out.

Just a quick update: It's coming along very nicely. I worked on it for about a half hour today and got the rest of the weapons skinned and the active scenery is done. I'm just putting the finishing touches on the weapon mods.

Yeah this look spretty cool. It would have been better if you skinned the boxes to look like ice cubes, hence the name Freezer. But thats just my opinion. Other than that it looks really good.

I like this mod a lot.

Tip about the active scenery -
1) Don't over do it. Maybe a subtle thing like Longswords flying by outside in space. Just don't try and cram a pelican flying through inside elongation, or boxes flying by, or something cruelly inlogical.
2) Make sure to make it SLC (use Shade45's easy SLC patch)! If you do Active scenery without SLC fixing it, only connection host will see it.

Also, when you are done with the second version, I may be able to get you high-quality pictures, and a video.
