Here is an image I took, shown it to a number of people they thought it was good, thought i, that i might want some of your input and C&C.

pretty nice but I don't like the color of the landcape much, mostly because I hate hot weather =/

that might be do to imageshack, i took that on a good 6 MP camera. it is 2816x2112

Is there a stock that is not .jpg? I think the .jpg quality hurt this alot.

It's not great quality, and there's really nothing very special about it. Just a landscape photograph.

The use of the JPG file format did not impact the visible quality of this image. Contrary to popular belief, JPG can retain quality as well as any other format; you're not going to be able to see any difference with a full quality JPG. There appears to be little to no artifacting here, the primary visible source of JPG compression, which would lead one to believe the format had nothing to do with the quality.

If you have bracketed exposures on your camera, that would be a very nice HDR image. If properly captured.
