I really like the background and text, but the stock of the dude seems way too out of place (granted, I like how you incorporated him in to the background with some parts overlapping him and others going under).

v2 is awesome. Looks better without the text. I really like it. I would normally say it's way too busy, but you made it work, and it still looks good.
