Week 2!

Theme: Old School

Rules:
-To be considered, your submission MUST be prior to Sunday, October 21 at 11:59 pm Pacific Time. If you have any questions about this, PM me. Any late entries, even if late by one minute, will be disqualified.

-You are allowed only ONE entry. You are welcome to change your submission as many times as you wish prior to the time mentioned above.

- As with the SOTW contests of old, your signature MUST be submitted in two formats:

And the code for the image:
Any submission that fails to comply will be disqualified.

-Submissions MUST comply with the Halomods rules on signatures:

Signatures are limited to 500x120 with 3 lines of text.
However, if an image is not used (you either use one, or you don't, nothing in between) you will be allowed up to 5 lines of text.
Text rules are based on 1024x768. Having a widescreen resolution does not make you exempt from the rules.

Signature images limited to 75KB or smaller.

- Your signature MUST follow the theme to be considered.

- No complaining! If you have a complaint, PM me and I will address it. Anybody found complaining or whining in this thread will be disqualified from this contest. Anybody found complaining twice will be disqualified for a minimum of a month (maybe longer). There are no exceptions.

- Have fun! If you didn't enjoy making your signature and I find out about it, you will be disqualified from this contest without warning.

If you have questions as to whether or not your signature qualifies, PM me and I will review it for you.

Awards: Winners will receive "notches" (like a notch in a belt) that they can post below their signature (see Lt Slap a ho's sig).

One last notice: This is not a democracy. I will make my decisions based solely off the rules posted above. If you have any problems or concerns regarding the rules or my decisions, DO NOT post it here. Rather, PM me and I will address them on an individual basis when I can.

That said, I would now like to open this thread for submissions.

U should post an example of what u consider old school.

I think you'd have to be 20+ to know what old-school is by default.

I have this one in the bag.

Old school ________ can be anything. Consider the following:

Old School hair dews
Old school Halo (halo 1)
Old School sig styles
Old school fads (pogs anybody?)
Old School toys
Old School Nintendo games
Old School computers
Old School photographs
Old School (your best interpretation)


I picked this theme not because I want to see a bunch of old things, but because I want to make you guys really stretch your creativity. The winning signature will most likely have both the best interpretation of the theme and the best execution of his interpretation.

I hope that helps. "Think OUTSIDE the box" this go around.

When time comes for sigs to be judged, all you have to do is convince me that your signature has something to do with the theme. I'm not a tough person to convince. I will most likely find nothing wrong with whatever is posted (though I still reserve the right to reject any sig).

Oh, alright, I have a few ideas then.

I see nothing in the rules requiring the signature to be new, so I guess here I go for old-school style. Way back.

i wanted to have a little fun with this theme so i took 10 mins and slapped something together. yes i know its simple but i love this theme.


anywho.. gi joe w/ transformers with a little reflect on some old skool nes.

I had to make this at school since my pc at home is down .
So no fancy C4D's or brushes. All standard. Some Blue shift (HL1 FTW!) stock and a google cloud stock.

Not to happy with the outcome.(oh and it's meant to look (over)sharp)

I can't see that sig for some reason. I know it's pong, but it wont show up.

EDIT: Can you see Pepsi717's entry? Since it's .png aswell, and that would be the only explaination I (smarter people might know better) can think of.

The only way I can see it is if I right click and hit view image.

I'm going to stop spamming the thread now.

Edit: Yes I can see Pepsi's. Not sure what's wrong, but that's ok, I know what the image looks like.
