I was out taking pictures of a storm outside, and, well, I got this shot:
It's ok. It's a nice shot.
Its just really boring. Try taking pictures that no one has taken before.

I agree that although it is a nice shot, it's something that you see all the time in photography. Despite that, it does look good.

I have a hard time seeing original shots is my problem... I really need to develop that.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It takes time to develop the eye for creative stuff, and you being new to photography, wouldn't be expected to that right off the bat (that's how it is for any form of art, really). You'll eventually get it.

It's alright but I've taken some better ones.
You got the basic concept down though, but the lightning is bad and you haven't touched it up in Photoshop.
