I'd actually lower the res on the flag. Not a lot, in fact, barely noticable.
Actually that's tough, technically there's no good way to making it look good. Mainly because you're not trying to make it look good. The flag would actually look ok in CS because it's not complex, but on the outside perspective it looks too good, even though it may be accurate...
I don't know if my low-res idea would work or not, I dunno, give it a shot.
