to me, Samus is legible but its difficult read; Aran is fine.

Only thing is how the Samus text clashes with the background. Other than that, awesome.

Where the text is, there's light yellow and tan, with orange text. That's how it clashes...

A clash would indicate two strongly opposed colors. No, what you're trying to say is that they are too much alike, like noscottno said. You just got the definition of clash wrong, so scotts reply was understandable.

Well even if I used "clash" wrong, I think he could've understood the main point that I was trying to get across, which was, I don't like the orange of the text and the yellow-tan of the background next to each other.

I thought "clash" applied to any colors that looked displeasing to the eye close together?

Clashing colors, by their position on a canvas, provide an unappealing contrast with each other.

Very nice signature. I like the text.
