because ever since i saw Alexei's artwork on here, i have always been fascinated by the subject of it. ever since i was 4, i have always wanted to be either an astronaut, or a space explorer, and now i can do that,but by using my imagination and ideas to paint up my expression on the galaxy. it's my life, my passion, and my career.

That's exactly how I feel as well. Space scenes are overdone, but it's all in how it's done.

Awesome, except the stars look.......I don't know what it is, they just don't look like stars to me. Add a little glow mb?

it's cos i sharpened them on accident in the final post-production of the actual image.

but what are the black smears?

good question. they are actually asteroids that i applied a motion blur to. i think i may have added a bit too much of it tho.
it's meant to make the scene look as though it is in action.
