Hey guys, I found this really cool picture of Samus on Google Images, and I decided it would look cooler if her arm cannon was charging. So I finally finished it and I came out with this, I really like my result

I know it doesn't look like much, but I put alot of work into this, so constructive criticism would be appreciated.

Nice. I like the distortion, and the blast fits with the style very nicely.

The distortion is way overdone/not done correctly. The jpg compression also created a ton of artifacts.

Ah, I had it as a PNG, but photobucket and imageshack both downsized the image.

save it as a jpeg in photoshop. when the option for the jpeg window comes up, use these settings:
detail: maximum
compressed [x] (make sure its box is checked, or bubbled in)
@56kbps.

use those settings.

The rippled effect looks nice, the actual blast doesn't.
