it's master chief running through some fog or something with his assault rifle on his back. it's from the halo 3 ad right after master chief uses the bubble shield to deflect the wraith shot. what i did to the image was trace every line i could see.

Here, I've circled what's wrong with it. Just change these parts completely and it might be worth something.

That's original >_>. Way to give him pointers thar Alexander.

Work on getting a more defined shape. Right now it look like a jumble of lines together. And try to make the clouds more realistic.

I cannot be more specific than what I circled. There is no way that this can be improved, it is beyond repair or enhancement of any kind. An outline of a master chief which maybe has a "more defined shape" over a "realistic cloud" still cannot be interpreted as art, I'm surprised you'd think otherwise.

auerhantheman1, start over.

I find it's easier to improve when looking at a superior artists work. Try this:

Actually not terrible, but the lines are just so jagged. Makes it look almost like a paint job.

you think i should make the lines thinner shout?

o, btw, this is being done in gimp, and i didn't make the background, it's straight from the halo 3 ad. also alexander, art is opinion. thanks for the feedback shout and noscottno, i will try and follow your suggestions.

Doesn't really need to be thinner, but nice Anti-Aliasing would be hot. I recommend Paint.NET for tracing jobs (If you're not going to get Photoshop). AA makes the lines smoother making it flow better. You'd be a good vector artist if you keep this up.

Using a piece that you know full and well was satire as something against me..wow, that's kind of like if I said "you suck, this 'perfection' crap thing is proof". That's pretty dumb.

Even so, my 'Glory' thing is still far superior to clouds with aliased black lines added on in GIMP.

Yeah, I guess I can take a shit on a piece of toast and say it's art as well.

haha no paint.net on a mac, but thanks for the suggestion. anyways, i figured i should just use a different tool for the lines. thanks again for your help :D

edit: alexander, i didn't make the bloody clouds, and i'm working on the lines, and this is my first attempt at digital art, and yes you may call toast art if you want to, it's your opinion and i'm not going to argue with you, but take it somewhere else please, i don't want my thread to get locked. thank you for hearing me out :?
p.s. i know that thing about toast was sarcasm.

So you didn't make clouds, leaving what... your tag and shoddily traced black lines? Call that art if you will, but remember, it leaves you looking like a cumbersome degenerate; tracing has never been and will never be true or respectable "art", and requires no skill at all.

ok, i made this for fun, so i don't expect it to be amazing or whatever, but i thought it looked kinda cool so i posted it for you guys to see if you liked it. if i was really serious about it, i would have taken more time and put more detail into it. if you don't like it, say so and don't look at it. plus, i don't really think that calling me a cumbersome degenerate is going to accomplish anything, either on your side or mine, so kindly stop with the petty insults and if you are going to stay in this thread, be useful and give me some actual suggestions i can work with. if not, just leave.

Ah, I can see it now, (haha I didn't click on it, I'm a little nub). It actually doesn't look too bad, I like it.
