Which should I present if I were to enter them into a competition?

Modeling is a strong point, but I didn't follow a tutorial to make these, yay!
what do you guys think?

#2's material looks much more chrome like a real rim...but the reflections on it are very aliased.

#2 looks very good. i would suggest mapping an HDR image to a shpere to use as a background/lightsource, and render with al mental ray settings maxed out. should get you damn close to photorealism.

I can't imagine how many polys that it.
Beautiful, but as GTAF said, the reflections need work.

well total its 50,856 polys for the whole scene. 47,600 for the rim alone. I'm gonna re-render with some blur on the enviroment map and see if that helps.

I know that this is bump, but why make a new thread, I'd like to announce that Render B won 1st Place in a state competition for middle school. I am very proud to have a award winning art work
