Agreed. The only thing I see wrong is that the render is a tad to blurry.

Meh. I honestly don't like it. There's just a black space of, basically, nothing. Marcus looks like you just cut and pasted him out of a screenshot, resized him, and added a couple effects to him, such as the reflection on the neck area of his armor, then added about 100-150 pixels of nothingness. There is abseolutely no color to this piece, all just blacks, browns, blood reds, and grays. I despise this about Gears of War. It's supposed to be such a graphically appealing game, and yet it has very little color. Not that appealing to me, I like my games to have some GREENS and BLUES in them, not just Dark armor and red blood.

In the top left corner... I don't even know what that's supposed to be. Let's just call it a locust with it's head shot off. Upon close inspection, in that black nothingness I can see some text. Only when i put my nose against my screen does it become readable, well, partially anyways. I can read somthing that looks like RAVN and somthing that looks like GEARS in that text, but I can't really see anything else, if there is anything else to begin with.

EDIT SCORE: 6/10.

EDIT: After sticking that into GIMP and adding a frew dodge strokes to the image, That black spot wasn't so black anymore. Now I can see what was back there but I couldn't see on this monitor for some reason. I can also read the text now :D

So, I played around with it, added a bumpmap filter to it, stealthed in some dodge and burn strokes, created a little bit of depth, and here's what I came up with. Don't ask why I did any of that, I was just experimenting because I was bored and came up with a kinda cool result. Take it if you like.

Thanks for the comment. I know what you're saying. The stock was plenty bright, but I preferred it to be just as dark as it is.

Any more comments?
