I think this was a big improvment for me. It took a total of 3 days, on and off working on it. The big planet on the top-right was originaly crap, so I give credit to Xiion for making it better. This was a new nebual technqiue for me as well. Anyway, Crit me.

Crap, the cloud goes through the border *edits*

*edited star cutoff, tinkered with contrast*

Why is it so small? =(

Not a fan of those 4 sided lens flare things.

The cloud field definitely has no depth whatsoever. Give it some contrast.

It is good but the thing is the stars just cut off near the top.

The planet and the surrounding background doesn't seem to blend very well, the planet seems to be more contrasted than the cloud field.

Looks amazing, the only thing I see wrong with it is your big planet needs an atmosphere.

Other than that, great job.

very nice, scott, but what i would change, is make the middle, darker part of the nebulae, a very dark turquoise color, not a dense color, but rather faded to give realism, and then out line the inner "lips" to give off a light effect. send me the .psd on friday, so i may touch it up for you ;) very nice job on the planet, as well, but i told you to make the inner glow's blending mode color dodge, and dont make it so big. that's all i have to say. KTHXBAI

Thanks guys. I think I might make it into a terraspace before realesing it on deviantart. I have an atmosphere that goes perfect with it.

the edges look a little rough around the top of the planet, otherwise i love it

Eh.. You've made your last couple space scenes blue, but it's definitely an improvement. Also, it's unrealistic...

Meh, don't really like the coloring. The planet needs some atmosphere, as well. I like the rest. :)

This is awesome dude, I really like it!
The nebula/colour is great :).

Only critique is that you can see stars through the planet.

Are the edges of the planet aliased on purpose?

by Xiion
no they arent, it's beacuse the outer glow is not strong enough, this tends to happen with many people planets , its because of size, if it is too small, more aliasing, if it is too big, you get bigger aliasing size. its a matter of size.

Well you've finally gotten on the right track with the correct cloud types for a nebula. Better than your claims that, "You absolutely cannot make a nebula without Filter<Render<Clouds."

Make it look more like a nebula than just random clouds, otherwise the colouring is good. Add more depth to the background starfield maybe, rather than just straight white stars on black.

Great improvement nonetheless.
