I was originally making this to show JK-47 what he could do with his own version of it, but I ended up going crazy with it.

Not filtered, notice how the background and sky is manipulated, but the ground, mc, and warthog are not.
Also, here's one with things I'm still working on.

Tips appreciated.
No filters other than Guassian Blur. Other than that, it's done completely with Overlay/Soft Light layers.

Way too dark on the right side in the sky. Add some texture to it, like dark clouds instead.

that's why it's so dark. Anyway, I lightened it up a bit. I'll repost once I have more progress.

Ahh, well if you want it to be a night scene...

Make the light patch in the sky moon light, and darken the foreground.

Add a light source on the chief (the flash lights on his helmet), and if you wanted to get creative you could even make the warthog on fire, and have it cast a glow on the MC.

It's way too dark and over contrasted.

Okay, well since you just posted a thread for a manip contest for this image, I'll probably abandon this, since I can't use it in the contest.

Don't abandon it. You're off to a good start. Revisit it at the very least.

Okay, well I'll revisit it after the contest (which I've already started work on.) ;P

Pretty nice ghost :)
Like Phos said, turn it into a night scene, that would look cool :P
