I was trying to play with the good ol orb style, but I thought I'd add some new stuff as well. The effect in the middle is what made come alive. RnC

Thanks, and I don't really like the gradient either. I added it to add a bit more depth to the orb without altering the background. Because even though it gains more when I make the background brighter, it begins to make even less sense. Consider the gradient a compromise.
