My first Deviation!

Now, before you click on the link, I'd like to make something clear, and maybe you guys can help me with this. I'm somewhat satisfied with it, but there's something I'm confused about. The Covenant cruisers don't really have much depth to them. How would I go about making that look better?

maybe change the reflections.
and change the formations, they look a little fake.
is this done in max?

part of it was done in gmax, but mostly in PScs2

maybe have them flying from behind the camera, like 2 infront and one just overhead. and then the jets coming in formation.

The Halo doesnt make a smooth transition to the foreground.
