Just make the background transparent if you want to do that. It's good, although it's very basic, and the fact that you saved it as a jpeg dramatically takes away from its quality.

Its pretty cool i should try to learn to do that sort of stuff and yeah as everyone said make the background transparent.

You can save it as GIF or PNG most people I believe do PNG.

Not on HM since we have to limit the file size to 75Kb.

Well this is under file size limits and its PNG
Dont use this though because it has pixelated edges because I used the magic wand to get rid of the bg.

That's because he removed the background with the magic wand tool, and his tolerance level was set higher than zero. If you have the PSD, just delete the background layer. If you don't, just do what Grave did. Use the magic wand tool to delete the background, and then give the orb another glow. Do File > Save For Web to save it as a PNG, but with a lower filesize.

Untrue. the new IE shows png Transparents

you also might want to do some kind of shadow effect on it to give it a bit more pop.
