This is a think that was undifnished but I turned out awesome IMO before it was finished.I can make a tut on that its quick easy and the result is in my opinion very nice.
Sorry for the quality but hey i pay attention to 56K

Pretty cool. My geuss is you made this by having two spheres emit particles, you animated them, and just had to camera move with them. Or you just had wind applied to the particles and kept the camera in place. Am I right?

Two balls and particles yes but path follow a helix applied noise modifier on spheres for some randomness.
