I was walking to my bus and on the way I had to pass one of my neighbors houses, who apparently drinks and parties a lot. So I just happen to trip on the way and fall conviently on a broken bottle, my right hand (mostly my index finger) landed on it. Slicing part of it off and leaving another good part hanging. I panic and know if I want to save my finger I have to go to the hospital quick, I grab some long grass and tie it around the base of my index finger and apply pressure, and ran home. I nearly passed out on my deck when my brother found me laying on it, running a quarter mile with blood loss is a bit difficult. Anyway I go to the hospital and they say they can fix it, they stick whats there back together and take small portions off and spread it out. It took a couple months and part of the reattached finger did fall off, unfortunately it was the pad of my index finger, so now I really don't have much of a finger print there. Other than that I'm good now, but it took a long while to heal and for it to function.TomClancey wrote:Good to hear.spartanx5 wrote:Thanks Tom, and I did get my finger put back together, haha. It works fine now, just don't have much feeling in the tip of it.
If I may ask, how did it happen?

You may or may not be willing to press charges, but you might have a lawsuit there. Leaving broken bottles on a street or sidewalk can be quite dangerous; I don't think it would be dismissed as frivolous.spartanx5 wrote:I was walking to my bus and on the way I had to pass one of my neighbors houses, who apparently drinks and parties a lot. Ravn you do realize it was a significant time ago if it's healed by now, right? You don't really file a lawsuit a significant time after the event, then you're demonstrating that you are simply doing it for money or something stupid, making it frivolous. Had he suffered permanent damage that would restrict him from doing something, he would be able to, but people that sue because they can are just stupid.
Thanks for the emblem guys. =)
And a wraith is inevitable Dr.Cox =)
As for a lawsuit, like stated, it is too long ago and that family has enough issues as it is. I wouldn't dare have those kids harmed more by putting their father behind bars or having him pay a fine. Anyway its not proveable, it was an accident, and I am fine now. Thank you for the concern though, I appreciate it.

Nice sword, only thing I don't care for much is the little stand.
