Here are some important ground rules....
1. No flaming of any kind.
2. Do Not spam here (every topic must contain a picture)
3. Any Inappropriate content will be immediately removed and will result in an immediate ban
(Let�s keep this Section clean)
4. All Signature�s must be no larger than 500x120 in conjunction with the signature size rules
5. Do Not Post in all CAPS (Post's in all caps will be deleted, not edited)
6. Do not host your pictures here (We need to help conserve bandwidth)
7. Do not post links off-site. There is a no advertising policy, and that is
the cheapest way to try and get around it. Posts that link offsite without
permission will be removed.
8. NO animated signatures!
9. No image can be larger than 75kb in your signature!
10. When commenting on a Graphic piece, please provide constructive criticism, do not just say stuff like this, "-11111/999999999 the signature looks horrible, never come here again." Instead, say something like this, "The signature does not look too good, but here are some ways to improve�."
11. Do not yell and make a fuss because someone gave you criticism. If everyone only said good things about your work, how would you improve?
12. Lastly, you may have text in conjunction with your sig however, you have 3 lines of text. MAX. A quote counts as two lines, and the text measuring goes off a resolution of 1024 by 768.
So if your sig gets deleted and to you it wasn't three lines, make sure you are checking at the correct resolution.

Universal HaloMod's Rules
HaloMods Files Forum Strike System
Before I explain the strike system, I want to make it clear, that any Moderator/Junior Admin/Admin can have you banned on site if what you have done is horrific enough (spamming up the forums, racism, threatening any user, posting a leaked file, and cracks of any nature). In the end, it is the Admin's decision (So it is a good idea to not make them angry with you

Strike One- Not all that serious, you may have been caught flaming, or something of that nature. You will receive a pm from the Moderator/Junior Admin/Admin that put you on Strike 1 explaining why. (Note: Once you get a strike, you have it, and it�s not going away, so DO NOT go crying about it trying to get rid of it)
Strike Two- This will happen if you have received a strike one and continue to flame, spam, ect. You will once again receive a pm from the Moderator/Junior Admin/Admin that caught you, and you can consider yourself on PROBATION. You will receive an automatic 2 day ban for this.
Strike Three- You're out of here! The admin will call up a few Moderators/Junior Admins/Admins and discuss your case, you WILL get banned, may it be temporary or permanent. It is all up to them on the length, it may be 24 hours, or 2 years, it all depends on what you have done (yes we keep track)

General Things on HaloMods:
Here are some General Rules
- HaloMods does not condone nor support modding over Xbox Live (Matchmaking or Custom Games), users wishing to do this should leave now as this is a Bannable Offence.
- Posting links to sites which condone live modding, leaks, full maps, pornography or any other inappropriate content are not allowed.
- You must read and obey the forum rules. Saying you never read them after you get in trouble will not help you.
- You can be punished for doing something that is not on the rules depending on what you did.
- Use realistic words (Don�t be gangster style, it�s annoying to look at)
- Use common sense when posting, don�t post something stupid or unreadable
- Search before asking a question or posting things that may have been discussed before, it saves both your time and the time of other members.
- The Difference between a Moderator and Modder:
Moderator: Forum Staff; helps keep things in order.
Modder: One who edits the game.
- Do not Flame another user.
- Flaming is attacking the user, not their mod/picture/etc.- Do not threaten another user.
- Do not post any leaked files.
- No posting warez or cracks of any kind
- Do not spam people�s topics or their PM box
- Spam includes advertisements, content deemed inappropriate or illegal, and flooding of the boards- Do not overuse:
- Emoticons
- Line breaks or ALL-CAPS;
- Giant fonts with ugly colours
- Swearing or derogatory terms.- NO HACKS FOR HALO MULTIPLAYER CLIENT SIDE (Wireframe, debug camera)
- No saying, "woot first post" or anything related to having the first post, 100th post, or any number
- No double posting, we are very lenient in this, but never double post in a thread begging for feed back
- No Bumping old topics, unless you have something important or worthwhile to say.
- No impersonating any users/moderators/administrators (no exceptions, and this IS a bannable offense)
- No ripping other users content and using it without proper permissions and credit. This includes models, skins, sounds, and anything not released to the public, by the creator.
- Do not use obscenities in this forum. We don't care if it's not in the profanity filter.
- Do not troll or create inflammatory posts intended to anger other users.
- Do not post the same topic in multiple forums. (Tech Questions and Halo PC, etc.)
- No Pornographic Material (Instant Ban)
- No Viruses are to be Posted, this includes all invasive programs, such as spybot's, etc.
- Don�t ask questions in a non-help forum
- Don�t post Off-Topic replies
- Don�t post any degratory comments based on age, gender, race, ethnicity or nationality (which will be met with a swift ban)
Report Button Rules and Info

- Report Posts that break the Rules (Include the broken rule in the report if possible)
- BB Code does NOT work in the report.
- Be descriptive in your reports (I saw one that said bar of soap mb? One time)
- Do not spam the report feature with false accusations.
- When reporting a signature please include the users name in the report, makes it easier.
- Reported posts MUST be breaking a rule or something that is bad enough to be a rule. (Common sense)
- Misuse of the Report feature can get you strikes and/or a ban
- If your post is reported, do not take it out on other members
Do not make unrequested contact with the HaloMods Administrators and Moderators. If you commit multiple offenses of this kind, you will be temporarily banned.
Ensure that your avatar (Users Forum Only):
- Is not more than 80 pixels in width, or 80 pixels in height;
- Does not exceed 10kb in size;
- Does not contain annoying animations.
- Does not impersonate any HaloMods usergroups or ranks.
Do not argue with the enforcement of the above rules.
If any HaloMods Forum Staff Member tells you to comply with one of these rules, you must comply;

HaloMod's Sig Regulations
The reason the ability was removed before was because too many people were abusing it. There were many signatures that were 400X400, which if a few of these are in a thread can be really distracting. The Admins of HaloMods have agreed to bring signatures back on a trial basis, with a few conditions.
- Signatures may contain no more than 3 lines of text, at a resolution of 1024 by 768.
- The pictures in signature may be NO BIGGER than 120 tall by 500 wide. (this is extremely important, as posting a bigger signature picture will be a temp ban offence and we will remove the signature from your account, until you fix the picture.)
- Multiple signature images are allowed, however, they must add up to 500x120 or lower. For example, you may use a 500x100 image, and also a 500x20 image.
- The pictures may not contain flaming, or objectionable content, this is also a temp ban offence.
- Signatures containing links to sites which condone live modding, leaks, full maps, pornography or any other illegal content are not allowed.
- Signature must be only posted on remote sites, uploading to HaloMods is not an option.
- If an Admin or Junior Admin deletes your signature do not put it right back up, this is annoying and can be considered spam and possibly lead to a ban if it continues.
- A space counts as a line. (EX:
)- A single quote counts as two lines
- Signatures must have a file size of 75Kb or smaller.
- No animations whatsoever!
- Signatures saying "Ban So-And-So" are NOT allowed.
- Any signatures that could be considered ripped (partially or completely made by another user) will be immediately deleted upon sight and user warned (Unless given permission by the original author). On a second or multiple offence, a temporary ban will be issued.

HaloMod's Policy towards Halo 2 ripping
Recently there has been alot of Halo 2 ripping. So there is a new rule in affect.
Anything ripped from Halo 2 and put into another game will not be tolerated. That meansMaking your own models, sounds, skins, ect.. is allowed.
- No ripped bsp's put into Halo CE maps
- No models or tags of anything ripped from Halo 2
- No linking to Halo 2 ripped content(Like Halo CE maps, models, ect.)
- No Mods of Halo 2 ripped weapons
- No ripped Bitmaps from Halo 2
- No ripped sounds from Halo 2
All other Halo 2 content regarding Custom Edition, is up to Admins to decide on a case by case basis.
Breaking any of those are bannable offenses. You will be banned for them. HaloMods can get sued for having those on the site. We want to keep HaloMods on Bungie's good side.
If you have anything that may go against the rule, run it by an Administrator first. It�s better than getting banned for something.
