Hey guys this is my first ever mod called Snowtap made by me SilentRunner2 and don't worry its not your average first mod of projectile swaps no its better then that. the map is fully skinned in the theme of a snow level. i adjusted the light on the map so its sorta afternoon fill not too dark it also has a new sky, also its for deltatap incase you couldn't tell from the name . so enjoy and please comment after you download also baring in mind its my first mod.

Features

Map Fully Skinned
New Sky
Warthog has no turret and headlights are on and its also slightly slower.
Any Thing is Duel Wieldable including flag, oddball and bomb.
Jackal Shield has been added and is located next to the br and in the room behind the sniper.
Smg shoots faster.
Br shoots one shot but is much more powerfull
Elite can fly so you can get a good look of the level if you chose to.
i think thats it hope i didn't miss anything.

yeah i wasn't shore because i changed some weopens and modded the warthog.

It could be considered a mod. Change the ground texture and get rid of the decr. The ground looks really undetailed. Other than that its not bad. Try adding some weather next time

Please don't double post. Also as I said in your original post, but detail into your skins. Theirs not detail on the ground.

wow every one being really harsh it is my first mod but i can take criticism. yeah i wanted to add weather and was unshore how so i looked for a tut but the only one i could find said adding weather to a map that already had weather and deltatap dosent have weather when i looked maybe im rong. i was thinking of making a version 2 and adding jackals and grunts to play as also do the skins better and add weather, what do you think ?

definitely work on a version 2, fix up the skin and such too, I know you've been criticized, But we've all seen the basics.

lol see everyone has commented but not one download i new this would happen. the skin looks better in game thats why you are all saying it looks bad.

I don't have the means to prove it, but I'm going to come right out and say this. YOUR DOWNLOAD COUNT IS A HOAX. I would be impressed if even the most highly decorated and skilled modders in the community could generate 179 downloads in one hour, given the current level of traffic and enthusiasm for H2 modding.


Don't defraud the download count. You can't fake respect around here. There are 179 downloads for 107 page views, and not a scrap of enthusiastic feedback.

This is the part where you vigorously defend the quality of the mod and accuse me of being jealous. Please spare us all. Take a look at Doorm4n's Simpsons skin for Foundation. Just over 100 downloads after 3 weeks, and it's a much more polished skin than yours. Couldn't you have at least forged a plausible download count?

Could a moderator or admin please look into the log of IP addresses for these downloads?

The lighting looks good, but the skin is terrible.

Calm down maybe he posted the mod in another modding website a few days ago

Anyway, the is ok, i think the ground texture, is completly white so a bit strange, but keep making more mods you'll improve ^^

Weather can be added 2 different ways. PM me if you need help. The skin is mediocre i'd say. If it snowed...then there would be a little more snow on the bases and the other structures. I would suggest adding a little more detail to your snow as well. Custom bumps would do you a world of good.

I don't think I was being harsh at all. If you were even reffering that to me. I wasn't able to tell. You can add weather to maps without weather by using H2CORE and H2G. Search for it in the applications section. I believe there's a tutorial that comes with it.

Is it that hard to say "Great job on your first attempt, you need to work on the skins a little though, they're a little lacking in detail."
