Operation Blue Suns

Story:

Recent intelligence indicates that the Covenant found another forerunner artifact near these 2 forerunner instellations. They have deployed a massive battle force to secure the area while they await the arrival of their engineers.

Resistance will be severe, so the UNSC has sent in 3 heavilly armoured squads of pelicans, one of which includes an actual spartan, illustrating the importance of this mission. An additional squad of ODST's has been dropped in to flank the enemy, but without proper support from the pelican squads they will be destroyed...

Gameplay description:

As you assume the role of the Master Chief you'll have alot of possible routes to take. Will you take the Warthog and run over as much enemies as you can while your allies shoot rockets at the enemy mortars? Or will you engage the enemy infantry from afar? Or will you take a shotgun and go in close combat(not reccomended!)? Whichever option you choose: you'll have to stay extremely focused! The slightest distraction could result in a mortar blast on your head...

I challenge anyone who plays this mod to complete it without dying once!
There's a reason I didn't add respawns!

Anyway I hope you guys enjoy this, even though it's only my first mod a lot of time went in to this (it was a learning curve for me as well). Most of the time went in the details, like spawning the pelicans perfectly with all wheels showing! Man I spent an entire hour on one of them xD

Oh and I didn't do any skinning or anything because this is supposed to be a fanfic battle set in the halo universe, using the halo weapons (plus I'm not really artistic =D). On another note the base map is oobviously coagulation and there is some minor lag on startup. It'l play smoother as the battle progresses and guys die :p

My next mod will use a SP to MP bsp conversion, so I'll have AI zones and hopefully some clever AI. I've got some awesome ideas for it!

Hmm...

It looks alright, could of used a skin, mabey something no ones done before. Its just to plain, since people have done this before.

I know I don't have a skin or anything, I do know how to add snow to a map or stuff but I just wanted to create a big battle! :D

As mentioned this was my first mod, it was more of a learning experience.
My next one will be more original.

not bad, looks like someone can AI mod fast. I could add the respawn scripts for u. just let me know, then I'll do it :)

I was thinking... ummm... blue suns...

Yea >_>...

I was going to try to place two blue suns in the sky.
Make the lighting of the level all slightly blue, like a blue filter for a movie.
Than make it into a rocky valley.
I would add more rocks to the map, and skin them the same as the rest.
I would skin the sky to be cool... stormy blue.
I would add active scenery pelicans overtop the map.
I would... well... I need to think on it but once I figure out the theme I'll tell you.

To make it one super uber mod do the above but make the respawn script apply to each individual biped running around.... Now that would be a good AI mod.

I thought you could only respawn each squad? Not individual members?
I'd add respawns but I fear it might get too laggy then...

What kind of skin did you have in mind? Cause Cougar also offerred to skin it! If you can offer something better then go ahead! :D

i planed to do a snow one, but not just snow on the ground but have it snowing. but not dark cuz i HATE dark snowy maps. ummmm......i also had in mind doing something with the actual coag ground.... cuz most people just throw a single textured over it and i plan to have the ground have like a frosty look to it.

here ill skin it and then send you a pic k :D
