[Mod] Hunters in the Mist v1.0

Yes I know this mod is very simmialer to the mod Cassiopeia. I thought this mod up on 9-18-05 without EVER seeing Cassiopeia. I was boerd in Language Arts class and we were supposed to write anything so I wrote up this mod. If I had a scanner I would even attach a picture of it =P. I had to scratch alot out of it like the jackal sheild =P becasue odst can't dual wield. The mist I had to get rid of also =p becasue it would be a little to hard to see =P. had to get rid of a pelican casue odst can't drive anything... and alot more =P. The reason I didn't have it out earlier was so much corruption in the map and then just lost the motavation to finish it. I did get one Idea from cassiopeia, that was the battle rifle light. Final Note: this is my first public released mod.

So here it is

Map description: When the Odst missed there mark on the drop, they landed on a odd unknown structure, where Hunters await them in the Mist

I like the theme alot! it would be better if the odst had animation.......idk if this would work but you might be able to just change the hlmt of masterchief to odst so its not a different biped it just looks like one!
Question: does the hunters gun work( i love this in my mods booooooooom DEAD)

It's a good mod so ill give it 6.5/ 10
10 being the swamp fox; 1 being a cheting mod no wait a cheating mod would be negative 999999999999999999999


Anyway Good job


Mod Edit:Please do not put something in one "word" so that it makes you have to scroll sideways....

Looks great!

The random rock in the middle would be darkmatters doing, i havent played it yet but i guess if you walk around the middle part you teleport aswell; thats also darkmatters doin

To fix it, open the map in ADI and scroll to the scnr tag, then (from memory) scroll to 'scenery' in the tag editor and change each item in the dropdown to its original values (open up another map to know an original values)

Good mod, is it just some spawns with an ULT job, or does it have skins? But anyways awnser that, and ill rate and download it, and i do not like the sky.

Sweet, this gives me some good mod ideas. Although a smart ODST player should be able to beat the Hunter relatively easy.

No there is no skins =P I didn't think I should put any in due to the map going to be dark :wink: . Not sure what you mean bye ULT job thouhg >.> . Whats so bad about the sky =D ?

Yeah it is pretty easy to beat the hunters =P but not if they are crouched down :wink: .

sounds like a cool idea, but it's a little dark for me and hunters have no 1st person view, which bothers me a little. work out the problems with freezing and you got my download.

Meh the freezing problem I am working on =P . I can't quite figure it out. I have nulled out the sounds of the hunter and the frag grenade. I am going to look a little further into it later =\ .

theres a good tutorial on adding hunters to mp in halokit.com 's forums. it helps with alot of freezing stuff usually.

I could tell from the pics, if there isnt already, add a flashlight to the ODST, and skin the weapons, and the big rocks, look like crap.

Cassiopia was a secure map, meaning you couldnt rip anything from it. Any ways, all you have to do is change the color of the sniper HUD more green :wink:

I suggest not making it an ODST. It looks wierd with some little guy against a huge hunter. :oops:
