[Map Pack] Ideas for New MAPPACK

Hey guys I was thinking about doing a map pack and releasing it soon. I would just like your opinions on the levels I have so far and what levels you would like added.

-Also I added the newer halo 2 maps (like relic etc) to mainmenu so nobody has to worry about the newer updates -not sure if you'll agree that thats a good idea-

make sure you ask them if you can use their maps for the pack. im sure they wont mind, but its good to ask.

EDIT:
and this should be somewhere else, this for for H2 downloads, this is just an idea.

Yes that is a very good idea. If anyone here rejects me adding there map please tell me or PM me if you like. Or I will contact you

if you want a mappack everyone might/will download make a mappack of all the newly converted maps like all of TSF's maps and all the mach conversions.

umm you have no download, why is this here, it should be moved? why dont you ask everyone permission make it, then post

not to mention i am a day or two away from finishing a map pack with a whole bunch of goodies in it. my suggestion, take it in stride and put some real effort into, theres not much you can do with a map pack besides add new maps so try adding a few new options in the menu and skin the mainmenu and make sure to add a .dds for every map w/ a description. then it will be worth the download. good luck on that.

but you are more than welcome to use my map.

Yes very nice idea. Those are the main ones I am looking for in the pack. Thanks for the replies guys. But has there been that many? (mach con.) I do have some in there but only 4 or so.

Because I didn't think I would be releasing it. But yeah that would have been better. Off course there will be a preview for every map...man how I hate that white screen :D

Again is this a bad idea, I thought it would make matters better for the new maps so people wouldnt get scewed with the updates. I added the newer halo 2 maps (like relic etc) to mainmenu. Good or bad?

well theres been (in no peticular order):

cable room
sentinel base
gondola
specimen storage
induction
catacombs

and team iMOD is working on a new one and so are a couple other people i think. not to mention the many maps that have small mach's added to them to give it a new feel like space port by greennc. i am working on one for ascension right now too.

Have you devised a patching system yet? If you havnt I highly Suggest you look into it. Compiling all of these maps into PPF's will most likly bring the file size well over a gig. Then again, some maps such as TSF's arent even ppfable.

well over a gig? no, anyways i would talk to low 8 about a sppf patching system and then ask tsf about whether its ok to use induction or catacombs then you have to have those seperate, you need a serenity and a ppf for those.

No, thats just what im thinking about though. If its just ppfs it wont be over a gig. All the maps togather though are 1.47 gigs.

Very true, forgot about that. Yeah that kinda sucks they would have to be seperate, oh well. yeah I will talk to low 8 and see what he thinks would be best.

Oh really, I cant wait to see it. I have always loved your paintball mod. I guess the reason was I was pretty good at it and you did such a nice job on it. :P

The Dawn of Warfare I was thinking about adding it, but I have one simliar maybe I will just add yours instead.
