[Video Tut] Making weapon projectiles viewable.

Ok, this is a video of me making my smg shoot projectiles out that other people can see without my mod. Someone already released the written tutorial (i think it was cookiecutter) which showed me how to do it. Since some newbies may not get it hopefully watching this video will help you.

It should work. Scroll half way down the page and there should be a secondary link to click on to get the download :D I tested it just a second ago.

I know how to do this, you duplicate rocket, change all its dependencies to a Decided weapon Dependencies, MANUALLY, so you have to do it, and you need to make it the same things in tag editor, and then you take the meta offset of the Duplicated rocket, and you paste it in the weapon you decided to replace. Everyone will see it , I tried it before.

I tried the turorial.

First thing. Image is good enough, but the video itself appears the be very "laggish", and that is extremly anoying. I don't know if the problem is the video, or my computer.

2nd. I see you mark a lot of tags for the smg, and then click on the "smg pll see", mark them, and then swithc them out. How did you do that?
I had to copy/past every single tag, because i didn't know how to :/

After i completed the tutorial, i signed and resigned just to be sure, and tested it.
Now, i jused brute plasma rifle projectiles instead of the plasma turret bullets, but i didn't get a smg firing those. I got a rocket launcher firing them. Single shots, 60 shots before reload as the smg.

I believe it has something to do with the FPS view, but its hard to find in the video because of the "lag".

But i learned something, and for that im glad :)

Edit: Tried again, this time with a sniper rifle and plasma grenades.
Same results. Rocket launcher with Sniper rifle cross hair shooting plasma nades.

It appears it is working for everyone else, besides the host.

Yes, the video is laggish. It was my computer. Next time i make a video i'll try to make it smaller or something next time. When you see the rocket shoot things out but others shoot things out of the SMG is because you did not swap the models from the rocket out to the SMG correctly. The single shot problem you are having is also because you didn't copy the trigger information from the smg over the modded one. Basically you swap the models, projectiles, trigger, and fire effect bitmaps which will make you see the stuff come out of the gun. By swapping all these models and animations you are basically disgusing the rocket as another weapon and somehow when you paste the meta offset over the unmodded weapon it allows other people to keep their weapon's models, fire effect bitmaps, etc.

The good thing about this is once you're done with one weapon you can extract it's meta and keep it. When you extract that meta all you have to do is DUPE the rocket and then inject the modded meta over it. Which will allow you to swap the projectile much quicker.
