Outbreak.

Image
The last surviving Heretics fled to Earth, but a greater threat had stowed along. Will the Flood escape these industrial walls?

Now hosted on Mimesis over at www.projectmimesis.com.

Patch is for foundation.
100% syslink compatible.
Complete level skin, feels like a whole new map.
New grate over the water.
Scary freaking sounds injected. I've jumped a few times, even though I'm the only one in the game! 10 time scarier with surround sound.
New sky with fog.
Firey effects throughout.
Both bipeds are now the Heretic and do a lot of yelling and screaming.
Crates are placed around the upper rooms to improve the Dawn of the Dead gametypes.
Warthog was removed because of a freezing problem that couldn't be fixed.
**Many features had to be scrapped because they weren't possible on this map.

I started this mod about 6 months ago. It has basically been done this whole time, but I didn't want to release it until it was complete with sounds. This mod is designed to be the ultimate Dawn of the Dead map, but also has great replay value for every other gametype. This is a mod you'll want to keep on your xbox for a long long time, a map that your modchipless friends will drool over.

This mod was originally going to be the next mod in the Dawn of the Dead series by ReAnimators, Inc. (MrMurder, HuMpY and myself). MrMurder would have done his spectacular weapons mods again, but he left the modding scene some time ago. The original Outbreak concept belonged to MrMurder, however everything in this map is my own work.

Special thanks to:

MrMurder - Thought up the original concept of Outbreak more than 6 months ago. It has come a long way since then, but it would have never happened if he hadn't asked me to make the skin for The Hive.

angrycamel - Hosting the mod on Mimesis and fixing up some sweet preview shots.

TunesRus - Taking some nice screenshots.

Aequitas - Giving me a very thorough explanation on hex and how to fix something with some tags that I didn't have a clue about.

MrHyperPenguin - A tremendous help in this project. He has helped on and off for the duration of the project, biped testing, ideas, teaching me some hex, scen problems, screenshots, etc.

FleshRider - Has put a lot of time in recently with biped testing and scenery testing, though we haven't yet gotten what I want for the map. He has also taken screenshots for me.

Thinkreddie - Helped early on with a lot of biped testing. We realized that swapping bipeds kills a map's sylinkability, you have to swap out their hlmts instead.

Bungie - For the great game.

Pokecancer - For Darkmatter, made object placement and sound injection possible.

The Swamp Fox for ADI.

tjc2k4 - For Insolence.

And anybody else I might of forgotten, just let me know!

And the Mod Itself:

yay! It's released, well since my HLWN mod that I've been working on for about 4 hours, has just gone corrupt... and I'm very pissed off.... >:O, I'll guess I'll just test out the good HLWN Mods and rate them. :(
