I just played this on kia/connect and it was great. Everybody enjoyed it.
Do they move around or anything? In the last pic it looks like one is running. And it didn't seem from the other pics the hogs were always there.
The Elites spawn in the hogs throughout the level and (unfortunately) they don't move. They simply fire at you. Also, there are Elites spawned in tanks as well and trust me, if they miss, they only miss once. Playing this mod alone with normal health is suicide. Still fun as hell though.

No they dont. The map is really good, the mayority of the ai's really shouldnt need to move.

all the ai should move, maybe not much but at least a little. btw if u spawn them in a ghost and dive up to them in a warthog they will run away... but they run into walls and stuff

Yeah they move, as in turn and shoot and such. Unfortunately, they don't run towards you/away from you or anything more complex. As a matter of fact, they don't even dodge oncoming vehicles (at least I haven't gotten them to). I have managed to get the Elites to get out of the Warthog though. I joined green team (Covies) and got in the driver seat and then got out and the Elites got out as well.

also when you are on green team you can trade weapons with them(just like SP) and they will get in to a vehicle(at least the gunner seat) also when against them then they will "jack" your ride I'll be releasing an update very shortly. If anyone has any comments Good/Bad please IM me on AIM

All I have to say is that I love this AI mod, is like a multiplayer co-op game except the AI aren't as smart and they don't move, I can't wait for an update and for more levels to be put into this series, by the way what other levels will you be doing this to anyway.

I was thinking of a story like stopping the Rogue elites from destroying major cities in the country. after they visited Zanzibar they left behind plans to bomb Turf(probly my next map) after beating turf I'll release more to the story......
Yes they are Rogue, that is why they use human weapons (but I will be throwing in some covenant things to)
hows that sound so far?

I think the only way we'll get AI to move in MP maps, is to set up conditions. Like script injections, like they'll only move if a player is about to attack them. Or if a player is shooting at them, they will find something to use for cover. Because pathing would be useless. I can't explain it really, there's an image in my mind, but I just can't explain it through words.
I hate websites that make you register to download their stuff......

but the paths tell the ai where to find the cover.... where to crouch where to run where to sneak...... all that we need it all or non or a crappy how way done job. one of those 3 is good for me.

All I know is that in a way it feels like more than 2 player style co-op when you have a lot of people. I really enjoy it, the only problem is sometimes the Elites won't do anything when your right up next to them. I can't wait until your next one or an update for this one. Once we do get AI to move and everything, we need to have a full scale battle on one of the levels, probably coagulation where its a team of marines and a team of Elites that drive or walk to the middle and square off in a deathmatch.

When we get movment I'll be sure to go back and insert them into the "Squads" series. if tru is nice enough to put a tutorial(or make an app)
Oh and BTW here is an updated Squads - The Series Zanzibar little edits but they do help alot.

i know how much they move i already put ai in other maps, but i havn't got them to walk, when i wrote this i was replying to latinomodders post...

anyway about the teams u can set them urself, by squad... green=covenent
yellow=human
pink=new covenent
purple=flood
brown=haretic
orange=sentinal

i hanv't figured out red and blue, cuz player and set bye initial unit or w/e act funny... thats y when u play split screen on slayer, the ai will most likely be on the 2nd players screen, but i'm not sure about this mod because it looks like he set the team to covenent... unless he used the elite char... (i havn't been able to play it yet)

I used the elite char(and set by initial unit)
ya but if ur host and u go to green team then u can be on the ai team

nooooooooo please dont do turf, id have to figure out how to add it to the mainmenu and everything and its just better if u do it on an old map... in my opinion.



and has anyone else gotten AI other than a Mastercheif or Elite into the map? i tried to put in some grunts but when i tried the map it stayed in a black screen.

Just patch the mainmenu.map with this it adds the new maps to the mainmenu *it's in .serenity format*
Or you could use this one it's in .sppf format.

Yes if I remember right there is a video of some grunts following someone a few pages back.(I think it was smacktalker that posted it).

Your Screen turns black because you r spawning to many people.Example when i tried to spawn 1000 flood the screen turned black but when I disabled 900 of them the game ran fine. I'm guessing this is your problem(could be sum thing else)

using other bipds is just simply a matter of fixing them so they won't freeze the game (nulling sounds) i've done grunts marines and jackels
