Dorm4n hasnt been posting much, i bet hes working on another 1337 mod

sorry guys Tjc, its just that 6weeks of hard modding and time and fustration there are people on this forum who stil make 5min mods and 6 weeks seems like way over the top for a mod, but we were dedicated to this.
we made this mod in just over 6 weeks and to be honest i was expecting some sort of thanks that most mods get by being moved to outstanding mods.
but o well it seems that we have to spend over 8 weeks now do we? cos we wored real hard on this mod and i believe it deserves some ore respect
but dont be mad its ure decision it just seems you wont see me for 10+ weeks while i work for outstanding

i have to say i dont like this i love halo 2 the way it is but with better weapons new look maps but this change,s the game so much that its not halo any more

thx for saying this should be in outstanding mods, dec and i worked way to hard on it and maybe it is till not as impressive than some mods but it is shit loads more fun than any mod i have ever played. And yes V2 will be released later today, i have been procrastinating and been working on another mod. Yes this mod could use a tune-up and most problems will be fixed in V2. Moderators, i would like to ask a few questions and i would appreciate an answer.
1) How do you determine if a mod goes in "Oustanding Mods Section"
2) Why hasn't this gone in Outstanding Mods Section yet?(out of curiosity)
3) How come there are some REALLLLY shitty mods in the "OMS" but made by some really great modders, (not going to point fingers)? Maybe this mod isnt the greatest mod in history, but damn if people seriosuly love this mod enough to riot for it to go in the "OMS" section, i would surely put it in that section

I'm not trying to offend anyone, and I'm sure you spent a lot of time working on this, so don't take this too personally but.. My guidelines to making a good mod:
1. Do something new and original.
Being the first to use some feature in someone else's app doesn't count as something new and original.. Basically, you'll need to open up Hex Workshop a few times to do anything worth doing.
2. Have it look professional (like something Bungie might have made even if just for playing around the office)..
It's better to do a few things and do them really well than it is to do a bunch of things half-assed. An oustanding mod shouldn't stand out as actually being a mod, if that makes sense..
To me, almost every new texture looks out of place and the UVless DM-injected models look pretty bad as well. And why add a horse if you don't make it actually stand on the ground?.. Etc.. Maybe if you spent 8 weeks researching models you could have UV-wrapped them on your own instead of relying on another half-assed feature in someone else's app?
2. End up with a map that people will actually want to play over and over. So, enhance the gameplay but don't overpower it.. Nothing that gets in the way of having fun and shooting your buddies in the head.
I haven't played it so I can't comment on replay value.. It looks interesting and the theme was well thought out, but I don't know if I'd actually enjoy playing it after the first couple times.
