I made this I was taking my first shot at adding SP characters in place of Elites or Spartans, nothing else is changed but Taratus is in place of Elites... Apply the SPPF to BACKWASH, I used map converter, so it will load as lockout when you start up backwash... here are some very bad pics, I dont have a capture Card.....
yea pretty cool question is this your first mod and anyway your starting out better than me my first mod didnt eeven work anyways maybe make a v2 but put more in it

it's nice to see new people learning the ropes but my suggestion for you and most other new modders is keep your first 5 mods to yourself, you probably think they're great but they are definatly something we have all seen before. think about it this way, if you made your mod using dothalo/insolence/darkmatter and so on then what you did has probably been done before. if it can be done with the click of a button, someone already did it. the only way to get something new and original around here anymore is do a mach mod or a bsp conversion or go waaaay out of your way and come up with a great theme for your mod and stick to it and do alot of work. i'm not saying i never posted a couple of lame ass mods, all i'm saying is it was a bad idea for me to do it.
in my opinion the most important part of a good mod is a good skin, that was my first step in modding and i think it is essential to learning to make a great mod. good luck and keep modding but try to do a little more and stretch your abilities everytime.

This is in no way even close to being my first mod, but it is just my first Bipd conversion.... I am working on a full mod that Im going to use with this, but I thought that I'd put this out so anyone who wants to play as Tartarus can. I modded nearly 6 months ago and then I had other things that I had to take care of that were a little more important than modifying some files. You guys are being a little harsh, you have to admit...and please do not tell me what I need to do in a mod to make it better...I was here a long time ago, just not lately. I am very good at skinning, I might add, and I made such skins as the Mimesis hog, Air Force hog, The Patriotic hog, and I also made a Cessna hog that anyone could fly in my mod. I have made plenty of skins for ghosts and some for textures as well... unlike most other skinners, I make my own textures. If it is snowing outside, I'll go take a pic, if the sky is stormy, Ill take a picture, or I will just make it in Photoshop, that way the map doesn't look tacky like they do when people t ake textures that they found on google, or in the Photoshop files, etc. R0tten, Im sure that 98% of the stuff you do in mods has been done before, so unless you make your own apps that nobody has made one like it before, or you figured out AI in MP, please give me a break. I dont feel that the skin is the most important part of a mod. If a skin looks incredible, but the rest of the mod 5uck5, what good is it? I have so many ideas to put into mods, but most of them are either not possible, or not thought to be possible, esp since I can't program, or will take WAY too much time, time which I dont have. Also, alot of my unfinished mods come about because of Software failure, such as Model Injection not working b/c my Milkshape key ran out, etc. Most of my stuff has been deleted in the who knows how many rebuilds of the forum in the last year and a half, but that doesn't mean that it was bad, it just wasn't an outstanding worthy mod. I made this mod because a friend is trying to make a mod, but he doesn't know how to do everything. I put Lockout over Backwash because BACKWASH 5UCK5! BUNGIE SNEEZED into a tissue, and out came "BACKWASH"....also, everyone likes old maps..if you dont, you shouldn't be playing this game... Oh and BTW, that is not a BBQ lid, it is the lid off a trash can, because this is out in a sun room/porch in the middle of a LAN party....and one last thing, please DO NOT call me a noob, or a new modder when you have no idea what I have done in the past....Thank you.

i forgot what does btw mean and i said is this your first mod because ive never seen you before ok it wasnt because i think it isnt good in fact you are being pretty original because first nobody has made backwash into lockout and nobody has made tartaurus biped yet

actually i really only like to make skins but my team and i are working on a bsp conversion right now skinning may have been done before but my skins are all 100% my textures and my ideas alone. i never meant to doubt your skill either i just think this mod is very bland and needs more, it honestly seems like a 5 minute mod, i could go add tartarus to every map in about 15 minutes. if you were making it for a friend then maybe you should have just given it to him instead of putting it on halomods because it's not that great, sorry thats just my opinion.
if i were to rate it i would say 3/10
p.s. i still dont understand why you changed backwash to lockout, yeah backwash kinda sucks but you could have just added a second lockout into ytour mainmenu and hex edited the .map to have a new name. it takes like 30 seconds
He softmods, and doesn't have room to put Halo on his HDD, so he does this instead... Im about to stop justifying everything that all of you disagree with because some of you just dont get it (the point that is) and its not worth it...Im sure I could give you some constructive critisicm on some things to, but Im not going to, unless you really want me to, or the time arises. And you think this mod is bland...well it is. not all of us like lightmap swaps, weapon modifications, run fast, jump high, effects changes, etc in all of our mods... But as always you are entitled to your opinion, no matter how different and possibly left of center it may be, from mine... And seriously, who cares where the TV is and what is in the background? It is on a TV, in the Sun Room, on a dehumidifier, b/c it is during a big LAN party, where there are 4 Xbox's, and 4 Tv's, and there is a chair behind the TV, with a sliding glass door, that has blinds on it, and there is alot of junk around....seriously this is getting annoying...I dont make fun of/pick on you/laugh at where you have your TV and xbox...all that matters is that you have it...

hmmm, i was just lightening the mood with my bbq question. and yeah if you're critisism is their to help me get better at what i do then yes i would love to hear it, don't take anything i said as a personal attack to you just use it as a learning curve and try something different next time. we all started off somewhere most of us at the bottom.
try something different eh? Obviously this is different if nobody made Tartarus a MP Bipd, and put him on Lockout, I'd say it is different, Althought I know what you mean... I will be showing you the finished mod in a week or maybe a little more. Like I said before, this is for people to have a little fun with and use if they want...BTW, I'd like to see some of your mods/skins, YOUR mods, NOT your modding TEAM's mods...

Yeh if it's so bland why would you release it? This is pretty lame to bad you did'nt do this a year ago it would be cool... I say 3/10 for this mod you can do better...
either way even if somebody did do this... This is a public forum where everyone has a right to post their own things. People shouldnt get there panties in a bunch if it isnt a fully customized map with effects and skinning and whatever else you can come up with. And it is true... not everyone likes professional looking unique mods. There are those who do enjoy the fun mods. Constructive critism is good but maybe im wrong and this is not pointed at anybody individually but i think people really need to think about what they are posting before clicking the submit button. I'm not here to regulate or tell whos wrong or right. I guess what im saying is everyone is entitled to there own opinion and what they think is good or fun.

Ummm.... I didn't pay attention to much of the mod because when I first saw the thread it looked like a bunch of whiners and complainers and flamers.
My only comment is WHY THE F WOULD YOU TAKE A PICTURE LIKE THAT!
Use the freaking Xbox Capture Package so we don't have to look at that mindblowing quality.

from the video i can see that youve done a simple HLMT swap, because of the sniperrifle sticking out of his back.. wow youve done a hlmt swap and didnt even fix the hands, cummon
