I hope you guys like this, this mod has:
EVERYTHING :P !!! I have updated it to be the best mod it can be.
Chrome Black Warthog w/ Chrome Rims and HUGE tires with humvee/truck body kit and a 6 0r 12 inch lift!!!!!!
snowmobile- the physics are perfect on this mod, the only bad thing is the tread on it is in the snow unless you go off a jump, then you will see it
or a longsword and turrets
Night time
Halo2 Weapons- Battle Rifle with glow stick, SMG, Plasma Rocket Launcher and Sniper
Sniper Post
Teleporter in each base to the sniper post
Forest
Rocks
rock platforms
Modified speed, jump, etc.
Almost Pitch Black outside
No sun Glaring on your screen
Can shoot from driver seat of warthog
gunner sits in back and shoots MC weap-the driver shoots gunner... i didn't want both shooting gunner, that gets weird :P

Sorry the picture didn't come out very good.- it was also a pic from my earliest version beta :P and also this pic doesn't have the updated "monster hog" i also forgot to change the name of it too, so it is still named "warthog" :cry:
Thanks goes out to Swamp Fox, i forgot him in the read-me :x He is a sweet modder who i give so much props to, he also helped me with the longsword.

To Use:
Open up PPF-O-Matic
Select ISO file- Insert your cache003.map here (sidewinder)
Select Patch file- Insert the PPF file here
Select PATCH!
Your done, send the new patched cache file back to your box.

Sorry I missed that. I've been downloading a lot of these mods and most of the other readme's for other locations other than BG, didn't say. So it appears then that it's the same file I patch when doing BG. Just load up SW & then take that cache003.map & patch. Easy enough. Thanks. Sorry I didn't read yours first.

Your welcome Vault, I have talked to you in IRC, and i remember you just being there, so i put you in my read-me :P I wish i could see some "halo-hacking gods" modify this map to be even better. I am almost sick of seing bloodgulch bloodgulch bloodgulch. Maybe a spot in the sky to run around would be cool. I could do that, change the small rock to a platform, but i am not "amazing" at modeling, most my model come out with jagged edges, or cannot be imported to halo because it is not a level one or whatever, but they do have the right number of vertices and indices. This mod almost deserves to be in the good mods section of this site. :)

now dling the mod but judgin by the screenshots you have achieved what ive been tryin to do for a while.
How did you make it so dark outside just texture moddin? or somethin else?
Can you post up how you managed it because it wld finish my assassin v2 map off perfectly thanks for your time.

It was soooooo hard for me to get the sky at least a little bit darker, considering the sky texture is in x8r8g8b8 format. I put in a dxt1 from another spot in the file that was black, but it only made the sky dark blue. I added black fog to make objects look darker (thanks for the plug-in for hmt whoever made it). I then changed the brightness/darkness level of all the scenery textures. It made the level very dark, but then again, thats the way i like it :) oh yea, forgot to mention, i also made all the sun's lens flare textures black, so the sun doesn't glare on your eyes.

hey to get the sky night time just swap sky dusk bitmap with ui/shell/bitmap/black you even get the stars.
I then took the nighttime moons and ring effect from sp map truth and reconcilliation and just imported them straight in no editing needed. to get rid of the sun compleatly go to the lens plugin and select sky\sky_a30skydusk0\sun and swap the meta for the blue landing beacon and tada nightwinder. my email is [email protected] add me to you msn if you have it i will send you my ppf of my almost finished assassin v2.0 map.

I have updated this mod to be during the night, night sky etc. If you have downloaded this already, please download it again. It is much better with the night sky!

Hey glad to see it worked man between us we both put the finishing touches to our maps.
Have you noticed that nightvision works on all the other mp maps except sidewinder and bloodgulch man thats a bitch.
Get back to me asap am posting up my Assassin version 2 map tonight here and on halo-scene ok.

yea, i will contact you, ur assasin mod is pretty sweet. They won't make a good combo though.

You can use nightvision/flashlights in BG and SW if you don't load ghosts into the level. Don't know why this is yet, though.

If you have downloaded this before, you might want to download it again soon, i am just warning everyone. My new mod is goin to have a snowmobile for the ghost, sawed off shoz gun, a real LOOKING plasma launcher, loads of other things, fixes, and maybe an energy sword, and maybe a covie turret, so in a couple of weeks my new mod should be done, IT IS EVEN BETTER THAN THIS ONE! i can't wait till it's finished. So be on the lookout for it. It would be in a new section, but i will post a message here when it is updated.

I am a huge fan of your last file but not so much this one. I like the shotgun mod thats awesome. I think the grenade is kind of cool too, if you got a nade even close to someone it would screw them up just in the vision alone. I like the blockade you made for the flags. Weapons are really cool.
I do not like the snowmobile. Great idea but the damn thing wont even stay upright, the weapon on it is weak too. I didn't like that you took the turret out from the bases. The pads you have there are nice but I can't even stand on them. And for the love of god make the sniper area more difficult to reach, loved the last one. It took some time to get up the damn thing. If I were playing MP and I was playing against a person that camps I want them to work for the camp not just get there and be able to get right back there at anytime with a great deal of ease. I liked the last sniper spot for the difficulty I had getting up there. You have to earn your camp!!
I think you are one hell of a map designer(kudos to those named in his txt file) but I am going to go back to the previous version until the bugs are out. Keep up the great work. This is by far the best mod out there

Thanks man, I will try to update it again :P I worked on the snowmobile for so long, but i couldn't get the physics to level out right :evil: I also will try to make the sniper post harder to get to. I don't know why your not able to stand on top of the base things, i guess i will try to make those easier to get on top of. I will also try to fix any other bugs. I don't know if i liked the turret there though, my friends just took a shoz gun and blew it out. I might work on the turret though, i thought it was a good idea too. I liked it so you could just go to the sniper post and someone would be in there then you blow them away with a shoz, but i guess you should earn your camp :) Thank you sooooo much for reporting all the bugs. I had like 300 people download my last versions, and no one said there were any bugs. Did you notice that i also hex edited the "you picked up a..." and i also made the Battle Rifle have a scope. Thanks again, i will try to update it.

You know what the sniper idea is a great one. The fact that someone would have earn there keep to stay there is a good thought too. Could you do something like keep the rocks to get up there but have a nice flat platform up top, that might not be too bad.
I did notice "you picked up a..." that was nice.
I have an idea for the turret. Have you seen the Hang em High with 6 turrets on it. Can you put a stationary turret up there like they did in that mod.
The shotgun mod is just thee shit, love that one.
I love this mod so much I am going to keep a track of this one and help you with idea's as you go. I cannot wait to patch this to my friends box and do some multiplayer with 8 people. I am excited about this one!!!

I will put rocks like you said to climb up, it also makes it better for the person inside because they can get ready for someone coming into the sniper post. Unfortunately, i can put turrets in, but i would have to take away the warthog or the tank, if i took away the tank i would have to take away particle systems ex. grenade explosion. I don't want to take away either of those :P So i guess no turret should be ok :cry: My next mod is goin to be for Hang Em High, it will have turrets and a flying ghost that does not shoot, too cheap if it shoots. Update for this mod should be ready in another week, sry ic an't get it done sooner :( If you know anyone else with a modded box, tell them about this mod, i hope it makes it to the "outstanding mods" section, or perhaps even the front page. wink wink Grenadiac.
