So I finally tried this out with my friend (system link). It is so dark! But, I will say the weapon modsand the vampire are great. Any chances of adding the weapons/vehicles to blood gulch?

Well as mentioned in some of the previous posts its really down to your tv as to the darkness you experience in Nightwinder.
As to the weapons ive no intention of adding my weapons in bloodgulch as i have an ongoing project for bloodgulch which i intend to finish once i have Labyrinth sorted and released.
But theres nothing stopping you putting them in just a thanks is all i ask if you do ok.

Ok ive been offline for ages and ive been uber busy with new job and stuff but im updating nighty again soon and with the frag grenades and banshee as the main targets this time round.

Banshee gets a new secondary fire projectile ION bomb\Torpedo its nasty has a seething ball of whit hot plasma as a projectile with a new contrail and a mini nuke explosion on detonation but i need some feedback as to how it should work its either a bomb dropped straight down or a arced projectile like the fuel rod gun.

Ive changed the lightning cannon to a Holocaust Launcher fires a ball of fire,ice and lightning evil looking in the dark but the same strength as the lightning cannon.

Frag grenades have a bright flash and more smoke added to make them more usefull in close quaters and if you get a few going off its really hard to see kinda flashbang.

Ive removed the muzzle flash from the S.M.G as it was hard to see your target through it.

Thats all for now guys postin up the updated version soon in time for CXE release.

I'd make the ION bomb a projectile, so you can admire the contrail as you shoot it.

Holocaust launcher sounds pretty sweet too.

Well ive been messing about with the ION bomb for the banshee all day and so far to avoid making it uber strong ive made the projectile kinda heavy so you can shoot it forwards but its not got a long range
The explosion is big but the damage is spread well over 1-3 shots to kill so its random on damage otherwise it would be far to strong.

Having problems with the flash grenades and will have to add them later or see what else can be done to make them more effective for now its not bad but could be a whole lot better.

The Holocaust launcher is finished and im really pleased with it if i post up a ppf of what i have some real quick feedback would be great.

Whoever was asking/working on the needler frag grenade before I Have a really old PPF with that in it already for BG. So if you want it I could post it or PM it to you.

fissure fall was great but needed weapons im hate the standard set.

Yeah mrmurder nightwinder is definently my favorite map in cxe, closely followed by starwars.

I like the hog (is it valkyrie or vampire), except i wish it wasn't so easy to crash the front into the ground. It's still great though, lol it reminded me of the hovercraft in the simpsons road rage.

I like how nightwinder has such a great variety of weapons. The one thing I'm not sure about, but it might have just have been because we were playing 2v2, which it wasn't meant for (but it's hard to find ppl online) is how easy it is to score in ctf. All you have to do is use the teleporters. I don't know, I havn't really experienced the mod the way it was meant for with more people.

That's really the only "bad feedback" I can give you. I found the mod flawless every other way. The damage is good, with big, fun, guns but without having people die on the first shot. The vehicle are awsome, and it never seemed like they controlled the map when I played. Thanks for this mod, man, it is my favorite.

Hey thanks man that some really good feedback im looking at sorting the ctf version out soon but meanwhile if you want a quick fix for it open the mod in sparkedit and select edit mode and then MP flags then just sink the red bridge to blue bridge and visa-versa teleporter origins and destinations below the level and then the teleporters should be back to the origonal unmodded sidewinder config.
Im glad people are still downloading the mod as i know i keep releasing updates for it but like i said before i love the level and the mod is simply impossible for me to put down.

Ok guys just got the pc back today and will be sorting out some upgrades for the ionstormgun, banshee primary fire and the emp charge on the battle rifle.
Hopefully be sorting the frags out some more and a few handerling tweaks on the vampire.
Will also be adding KOTH spawns at some better locations and one for Assassin as well as sorting out the CTF inbalance if i can.

Glad ur fixing that ctf, too.

What are you thinking about doing to the banshee primary fire? It did seem a bit wierd when everything else was changed but it.

ive just made the banshee primary fire bigger and more noticable so its not the same as the ionstormgun.
The IONStormmgun has benn given a less intensive contrail and ive increased the projectile speed slightly.
And ive upped the rate of fire of the holocaust cannon and increased the speed of the projectile.
the damage and rate of fire are unchanged but its much easier for people on the ground to see where the shots are comming from.
Ive re-modded the EMP charge on the battle rifle secondary fire and im hoping to give the Holocaust cannon a secondary fire soon as well.
The Screamer damage has been reduced to make it more balanced you can survive the inital explosion but you may not survive the fall from the force of the detonation lol.
Ive upped the rate of fire on the Vampire Partical cannon but reduced the blast radiusof the impact to balance it up against ground assault while maintaining the effectivness against the banshee.
Hope to post up soon but havin probs at the mo.
