Out of no where no font shows up where you type/or when it says someone was killed by M_S etc.. Its really weird. I tried to reinstall the game twice and its still not back. Anyone know what could be causing this ? and how to fix it ?
Thanks

According to the many other threads on this subject. It appears to be a known issue having to deal with Alt+Tabing out of Halo and back in. Though why the text doesn't come back when you run Halo again makes no sense. This has been posted 10000s of times on the gearbox forums, apparently gearbox doesn't care to fix this MAJOR bug.

well i searched the forums and sorry i know i should have first and i found a fix . So anyone else w/the same prob this works

Step 1: Reinstall the Microsoft XML parser
Quit Halo: Combat Evolved.
Insert the Halo: Combat Evolved CD into your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive, and then hold down the SHIFT key to prevent the program from starting automatically.
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type CD Drive:\Redist\msxmlenu.msi, and then click OK.
Follow the instructions to install the Microsoft XML Parser files.
Step 2: Register the XML .dll file
Quit Halo: Combat Evolved.
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type regsvr32 msxml4.dll.
Click OK.
