Windows media player error

Whenever I try to watch a movie that is windows media player format a window pops up that says "An Internal Application Error Has Occurred" & it won't let me watch movies.
Can somebody help me its pissing me off

Uninstall it.
Run Adware/Spybot Search and Destroy.
Run a virus scanner utility.
Reinstall it [newest version from Microsoft]
If then, uninstall and get an older version. I recommend the 9 Series.
It doesn't work then contact M$.

yea, that happened with me before, uninstalling/installing doesnt work, i had to reboot, sorry to say it, but thats the only way your going to fix it
