Name Changing in Mid Game

i was playing a dedicated server on Halo CE, i joine dthe game as Chrono (it said, Welcome Chrono) then someone killed me and it said "such and such killed the_marine" i thought it was someoen else and i was just getting text lag, but when i pressed F1, it said my name was the_marine, wtf how could this happen, i've never seen anyone change there name mid game, and i didn't do it!

come on it happened again... but this time, i had my profile set on Chrono (i deletd all my profilkes but Chrono) and when i joined, it said the_marine WTF come on people this thread has like 30 views.. you suppose to fucking reply!

The hosting server has to do something about it, but I myself have no idea how.

If it was the same server you went to its probably not you. did you ever have that name though?
if it becomes a real problem you might want to reinstall it

my friend has a similar problem, but it was because he decided to move some of his files around to different places. In your "My Documents" go to the folder labled "My Games" and check to make sure Halo CE is there. In the Halo CE folder there should be a saved games folder. This folder contains all of the user information. If their are folders there with names like Chrono, the_marine, etc. Then either Halo CE installed incorrectly, or you have moved/deleted a file Halo CE uses to select usernames while playing.

The best solution is probably to Uninstall halo, go into the My Games directory and delete Halo CE, and then reinstall Halo CE. If this doesnt work, then I have no idea what else could be wrong.
