best vid card? well, if you have $500-600, be my guest and get the ATI Radeon x800 XT.

what was your friend talking about? do yourself a quick favor: open up your computer and just check if there are any AGP slots. if there aren't any, you're fucked.

well u should have one, but yeah best is x800 xt which isnt out yet but it will be 500. If you dont have an agp slot ull have to look into getting a new mobo, asus and abit are the biggest and best brands.

He wasn't asking what works well with Halo. He was asking what the best card out there is. And it's not a 5600.

What resolution do you play at? My FPS @ 1280 X 1024 is around 50-60 with my Radeon.
