multiple halo problems

Ok, see if you guys can help. here are my problems:

1. Almost everytime i start halo up, it freezes every few seconds. it stays like that for 2-5 seconds and then goes back. As i paly more it gets worse. I also noticed that I can still play the game while it does this, but it looks like its frozen. Then if i try to exit halo, it restarts my computer. Then it runs fine after restarting if i go play halo right away.

2. Shadows look like big weird blocks on the ground. Garbage graphics in some areas. Water has blue criss-crossing lines through it.

3. I dont know how to put the -use11 or use14 after my halo.exe. I know its easy to do, but I have XP and it doesnt show .exe and it doesnt change the game in any way if i put it there.

4.While playing halo online, i will make a game and a few minutes into it it loses connection. I dont know if it does it on other peoples games, but it does when i make one.

These are my computer specs:
P4 HT 2.8GHZ
64 MB ATI Radeon 9200
512 2700DDR RAM
SoundMAX Digital Audio card

Please help i have the latest Direct X and updated my graphics card last week.

look at the graphics card, that is your problem, not a good one, I would consider upgrading...

Your graphic card...blows. Mine used to be bad, but I bought an ATI Radeon 9600XT. Now my screen is filled with Halo goodie-ness.

about the useff thing, you were changing the name of the shortcut by the looks of it, RIGHT CLICK THE SHORTCUT AND GO TO PROPERTIES AND ADD IT IN THE TARGET FIELD AFTER THE "c:\program files\blah blah\halo.exe"
so mine is like:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe" -useff

for use ff mode but i dont need that because i got a uber graphics card lol

Could also be an overheating/psu problem too....or his drivers if hes messed with the settings a little too much lol.

You need a new graphics card like a 128MB one or higher. Also setting the command prompt -useff does help out alot if you have a crappy pc and graphics card. Also setting your Halo settings to 640-830,85,NO VSYNC, and LOW for projectiles and graphics detail helps alot for online games as well. I would get a ATI Radeon 9600 or higher graphics card if I were you. No less than that.

when he says 85 he means the monitor refresh rate, beware if you have an older monitor it might not be capable of 85 mhz, it might do 70 or 75

I have a sapphire atlantis radeon 9600 pro 256mb ;) fps tops up at nearly 100 in-game, mostly rests between 60 and 80, you need at least 60 for a decent game experience online...

Ya, I would suggest getting a new video card.

One other thing you might consider doing is redoing your computer image. Sometimes you have a lot of junk on your computer that makes gaming unpleasent. Also with the internet you might have web apps that are messing up your GameSpy Arcade connections (etc.)

Oh and 1 more thing... make sure everything inside your computer is O.K (i.e. cables, proper cooling, etc.)
