cannot contact gamespy server

when i go to play halo in internet multiplayer i hit get list and said message pops up. i turned off my firewall, what could be wrong?

Google -> Cannot connect to gamespy server.
Ask people on gamespy chat on the tunnel.
Make sure it's a llegaly obtained Halo PC.
Look at FAQs on Gamespy.
Check your internet connections.
Contact Gamespy.

o i once had the same problem, it had something to do with what ports were settup, so if i were u, i would go check in settings then network it shouls say :
(your internet connection)
server port 2302
client port 2303
if it doesn't then change it to that,
this might not even be your problem but its worth a try.......

Yeh, if you are trying to contact a closed port, then you will have some problems connecting to the network...
