well 9200 is not a very good card at all, im sure u can run it on low settings but still it wont be running amamzingly smooth. My friend was playing on a 5200 and its just slightly under ati's 9200 but still not real great gameplay, playable though. If you plan to play new games ur gonna have to get a new card, 9600 pro and up.

wat r u talkin about??? my card is a ATI Radeon All in Wonder 7500 64mb and mine runs great...neways, in my opinion:
wow, nice video card, i really dunno about that, i think halo does have a few issues with the ATI video cards but im not really sure......i have an ATI Radeon All In Wonder 7500 64mb, and mine runs just fine....i dunno the only thing i could suggest is to reinstall youre video card drivers with the installation cd or the default windows driver. Or if you would rather, first try reinstally halo........i do it at least every week because of the massive amounts of mods i just throw onto mine...

I used to have a 9200 SE 128 and ran it on high and it worked great. Make sure you get catlist though.

It might becuase I used to have a Radeon Saphire 9100 and it would sometimes crash and the graphics would start vetically tearing. It was terable so now I have an Asus 9600XT and its awesome. and Kight it doesn't really matter if you get an Radeon or an Asus. Its just the parts are made from Radeon and they jack the price up because of it. Asus is just as good and cheaper

As good as 80 FPS at 1100 X 800 (approximate size) with full detail? I think not. Get an ATI or Saphire 9800 XT with 256 RAM.

IF you have not already bought your card, I would sugest the ATI X800 XT, which runs halo at 140 fps...

140 fps

*whistles in aww* thats awesome. I like running it in 640X800 or w/e it is in 120 framerate its really fast, no lag at all

Kid, a 9200 would be a great vid. card to run with Halo.
If you want to buy a 9800 XT go ahead, better graphics, but it'll put you back about $500

acutually its more like 300-450 based on the model u get. and expect a price drop in it when the x800xt agp and the x800xt x600 x300 pci express cards are release, the x800xt agp and pci express will be 500

9200 sounds alright, not exactly the gamers choice lol,
go for a 9600XT 256 if anything, with haloCE and its fast shaders i can get 90 fps in 1024x768 all settings maxed and it stays stable even in heavy onscreen activity like 10 players on at once shooting.
its (in halo) very much similar to a 9800 just a lsight performance boost with the 9800 which is not really cared about by most of you gamers out there,
AND ITS HALF THE FRICKEN PRICE
as for the x800 and alike, i dont think its worth going for those yet, wait for the next chipset architecture, you dont need the supercards now, because anyhit above a 9600pro will do you fine until the next chipsets come out.
and for whoever said ATi cards have problems with halo, AHAHAHAHAHA
if ya didnt know its the nvidia cards that get problems, they get some lighting glitches and some shader probs (not all cards though)
[edit] BTW nice one paul, first post and you have gone to the right part of the forums and everything, and its not a nooby question, nice one keep up the un-noobyness:D btw my post count and date joined doesnt make me new here, i was at the files forum since december.[edit]

If your lookin for a good card get the 9800 pro it'll last maybe a few more years even.

ya thats what happened to me when I had my 9100 you could see the guy that was camoflauged. well i guess if you could see him then he wouldn't be camoflauged

it sorta works to your advantage when some guy is running towards your base and you can see him. then he starts to whine "how could you see me?!?!"
