1st post and ???ions

hey guys this is my first post, neways i have some questions. im pretty new to this whole modding thing. i know how to patch and download but i dont understand any of your guys "tech" lingo. i dont understand it. whats meta data? whats BSP? what HEK and where can i get it? can someone give me a dictionary to all those hard to understand words
