How do I get shadows, specular, and shininess

I have a 64 memory video card (Gforce 4 MX 440) and none of the shininess, shadows, or specular is in the game. I might have not as good of a card but I need to know if there is a problem or if there is way to do it with a lower card.
Can you help me out?

If thats the prob. i did have then go settings/video (in halo ofcourse)
then many things should be turned off!!!
well it goes on, prob. goes off

nah i have a 440mx on my other comp and u just need a better vid card. i got my 5200 for $100 CAN

MX cards don't support it. I have one too.
