Halo CE: Won't run off of Disk

I just installed Halo PC and CE/HEK on my Vista laptop, and updated with the hotfix. When I try to play CE, it says that I have to insert the correct Halo CD-ROM. When I try to play PC, it starts up fine and will play. What's wrong? I have tried re-installing CE to no avail. And the CD is in the drive, I'm not dense.

Hmmm... this is a tough one, but try re-installing it one more time. If that doesn't work I would try downloading it again or if you are really despret buy a HCE disk off of ebay.

I sure hope that by "H
CE" you meant Combat Evolved and not Custom Edition.
Either way, I doubt that would help. Did you try playing Halo CE without the hotfix?
