SO yeah, I'm having trouble gettin my xbox to read some maps.

WHen I open the patch in serenity, if the output map name is the same as the default map name it wont work, but if i load the patch and the output map name is different than the default one, it works. Hwo do I fix this problem?

Set the output map to a different folder.

Still didn't work man.

I'll give an example.

I downloaded the California.serenity patch for the FaF maps and when I open it up with serenity it says:


Patch:
C:\Documents and Settings\Alan\Desktop\California.serenity

Source Map:
C:\Documents and Settings\Alan\Halo 2\Maps\headlong.map

Output map:
C:\Documents and Settings\Alan\Halo 2\Maps\headlong.map

I then change it around to where the unmodded headlong.map file is and I change the output map to a different folder. Now it's

Patch:
C:\Documents and Settings\Alan\Desktop\California.serenity

Source Map:
C:\Documents and Settings\Alan\unmodded\headlong.map

Output Map:
C:\Documents and Settings\Alan\My Documents\headlong.map

I then push apply patch and it goes through the differnet stages and adds it to the main menu map.

I then load up my xbox after ftping the main menu and the headlong.map(no other headlong.map file is on my xbox) and I go to the map California and I go to start it, after like 20 seconds I get the "failed to load map" error.

I've tried a few different things, but nothing seems to be working. Any more help?

Change the name of the Output map file to california.map and reapply the patch. Make sure you use the mainmenu you had before you added it to it with serenity. Other wise there will be two of them on there.

Is your autoupdate enabled?
