Not a Hard Help Topic...

It's probably a very simple solution, hopefully. Anyway, I was collecting a bunch of patches for Halo 2 from here to make a personal map pack, and I had around 22 and I patched them all. Most were Serenity files, but then Serenity started giving me crap with errors so I switched over to SPPF for the last ones. Anyway, now that I have everything done, I try and use the Mainmenu/Shared from Halo 2 and the XBE from Halo 2, but as you know that just gives the previous maps and all fail to load. So then I tried the Killtrocity XBE and Mainmenu/Shared maps and it just keeps looping at the percentage startup. I also did the same with a mixture of both. IE Killtrocity XBE, Halo 2 Maps/Vice Versa.

So my question is, let's say that you got all the maps modded and they're named various things not just the same as the map that it was modded from. What do you have to do to get the maps to show up on the Menu? Let alone have it get past that loop. Also, is there anything I must do for the XBE to stop looping?

Thank you for your help, in advance.

PS. I'm sorry if there is a tut to this, I couldn't find anything so specific. And note that I want to use this off of a DVD since I only have a stock HDD, not sure if that's important or not.

EDIT on 1/1/07: I recently patched the maps over again, using all Serenity this time and I kept the mainmenu.map in setup's main map folder in case it automatically added the map to the mainmenu. Then I used the Halo 2 XBE and shared.map along with this time and it did the same thing.

Can I just use your Mainmenu Mod and it'll work? If not...I can't find the tut on here. >.< I'm sure it's on here, but Search won't pick it up.
