ok...here we go,

i've been using photoshop for a year or longer dunno, bud lets get to the point:

when i use lasso tool and select something and press "add layer mask"
and it automatticly gives this effect:

but! i had to format my computer for repairing, and now when i use the lasso tool and add a layer to the selection it gives this effect:

wich i dont like, so i wanted the old effect back but i foregot how, can someone help me with this so i can complete my skins for AR?

Try changing your 'feather' settings.
