Platoon 2 Mac help

Hi! I recently downloaded a mod that was converted to the mac called "Platoon 2". It is a world-war 2 mod for those who don't know, and I love it! One problem I have however, is that the floor/ground texture is a strange pattern of purple, yellow, and black colours in wierd abstract shapes. I don't believe that was the intent of the mod, as in the main topic no one else complains about it. Also, when I'm playing my vision is usually obscured by some strange grey figure that seems to be either coming from me or pointing to me (like a speech bubble's base). Now, I swear I'm not haluscinating or secretly drugged, but i feel like it when I'm in the mod. By the way, the mod comes in a .map and a .ppf. When i patched it, it said it was succeful and loading the mod is easy.
