WDF is going on?

Post by Grunt Rebel »

I was playing CS 1 and then my screen went crazy, so i figured i should restart. Then when i did i got this message.

Code: Select all

Windows cannot load the locally stored profile. Possible causes of this error include insufficient security rights or a corrupt local profile. If this problem persists, contact your network administrator.
I can log on with a temporary profile, and my files seem to be intact, but i dont no wdf happened?

Log in with Safe Mode on and look around. Run a virus scan, etc.

Reboot your computer. Right after the computer runs its diagnostics tests, press F8. Then choose Safe Mode in the access list.

Safe Mode is a special way for Windows to boot up when there is a critical problem that messes with the normal operation of Windows. Safe Mode allows you to troubleshoot Windows and to determine what is causing the problem that makes it not work properly. Once you have corrected the problem in Safe Mode, reboot and Windows will load normally.
