help with viechle skins

ok so i open up dothalo, then i open up coagulation, go to bitmap then the worthog pic with all the parts hit exstract bitmap. then i go to DXT open the bitmap up, then open it in paint. so i replaced the hole thing with a picture or i just colored it, saved then reloaded the pic in DXT saved it as the right DXT format. injected it into dothalo save and i transfered the files to my xbox. loaded up halo 2 and nothing. the viechles are normal. wtf?? i dont get it no matter how many times i do it i still get nothing. can someone please help? and yes i did transfer the shared.map and mainmenu.map each time to..... please help

bitmaps rely on the main and shared maps. so to get your skins ingame you have to internalize the bitmaps. meaning you have to make the bitmaps you skin rely on itself. i dont know how to further detail it but you can use this program.

well if you look where you injected the skin, it says Dxt 2/3 for the warthog, and then also it has either internal or external. External means that the bitm is not inside the map, it is in the mainmenu, or shared.map. You either can overwrite your old main menu or shared.map, or you can internalize the bitm with http://files.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=58648

it is pretty straight foreward to use, just click the boxes with the three periods in them, and then find what it asks for. one you have found them all go to file open map and then find the bitm you want to be internalized and then double click it.
