Hey guys, got a bit of a 'problem'

I wanna make it so when I release a mod, all the ingame text (for that level) is japanese...

I changed the settings in the xbox dash to be japanese, and the game plays in japanese, e.g. the fonts and characters are there, but how can I change the text for just that map.

Do ya get my drift?

This is just a guess, but you might think about trying it. Since the Unicode Strings are located in the [matg] tag, that would be a good place to mess around with. What I would do, is replace all the language String sizes, Offsets, and Counts with that of the Japanese strings. It might not work, but it's worth a try I think.

ooh can't wait till the mod...
BTW you might wanna try installing the font to your xbox
or transferring it the fonts folder in Halo2/

I don't understand, the font comes up fine when I change the language of my xbox, so it must be present...

and "transferring the font to my xbox" kinda defies the point, im sure people wouldn't apreciate having to transfer fonts n stuff to play my mod...

Maybe the game doesn't load the font when it runs if the Xbox is set to English

you mean the japanese characters could be in a different font file, you may be right but I dont recall any fonts with japanese in the name or anything...

It's so confusing... MT said something about Anthony's Unicode plugin or something, but then he went...

anyone got any ideas?
