HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Well, I downloaded all the H1 Map packs, teh ultimate package 1.5, and the Killtrocity Map pack. I'm having a LAN party this weekend and we have 4 modded xboxes together. We also only have 4 blank dvd's left. So, I was thinking, in the halo 1.5 ultimate package, theres a place for your mods so I was like, why not rig that default.xbe to start up the killtrocity map pack. So just to experiment, I ftped to my xbox and created a halo folder, put all the .xbe's and just the folders, no maps. and I then FTPed the killtrocity's default.xbe and renamed it to mods.xbe so it would load the mods folder and boot h2 killtoricty map pack. I put the fonts folder in there, I have the media in the Halo folder, not the maps, i have the default.xbe renamed to mods.xbe so it knows what to boot. Can someone who understand this stuff help me?

It keeps saying dirty disc, and the folder name is mods, but then i renamed it to maps, and it still didn't load. Can anyone please help.

Edit: I do have mainmenu.map and shared.map and just Aerial to test it out.

Double Edit: Yay! It loads the mainmenu, but now all my maps fail to load. The autoupdate is disabled. I deleted everythign inside E\Tdata\*****64. Any one konw what I'm missing. I've almost got it.

i think you forgot the media and the fonts folder

You don't need to use a different xbe. Just put the original Halo 2 on your harddrive. Then replace the mpas folder with the Killtrocity maps folder and it will run just fine. Just be sure your autoupdate is off. Unless you have 1.1, it's on the multiplayer map pack CD from Bungie. And be sure thethere is a fonts folder inside the maps folder. Hope this helped.

I have everything disabled and the media and fonts folder. Last night, I got ti working on my hard drive, but now I need to burn it to a disc. Any ideas on how to do this. This is my setup on the Hard drive

* all the Halo 1.5 Package and my freind hexed the mods.xbe to go to E\Games\Halo 2\default.xbe and boot that*

so in theory, If I use the D- Config, and burn it jsut like I have it, will it work?
